BT Omni

Next generation wireless mesh wifi has landed in the UK and BT will be first to market. The product consists of a trio of devices which link together to create a super fast network across your entire home. My original route is shown over the following pages, as despite winning the pitch and having this route selected, the final outcome was subjected to the internal rigmarole of the BT system.

Omni was selected as a name due to both its meaning as a ‘multiple of things’ and its short and friendly nature. A custom logo was drawn from multiple circular shapes referencing the form of the three devices. The interconnecting mesh network is referenced through concentric graphic discs which are designed to overlay one another. The three colours chosen from the extended BT colour palette can combine together to create all other colours reflecting the nature of the Omni system whereby the whole forms more than the sum of the three parts.
